
The Speech and Language Resource Center
The Speech and Language Resource Center is maintained by the Speech and Language Division of Wheaton Warrenville Community Unit School District 200 as a resource for district teachers, staff, and parents. The goal of this resource center is to provide developmental information and instructional lessons and suggestions for classroom teachers and parents to help promote the development of speech and language skills for their students.
Information for the following content areas will be available shortly: Oral Grammar, Semantic Relations/Vocabulary, Pragmatics, Vocal Disorders. Please contact your school's speech and language pathologist with any questions or for further information.
Mission Statement:
The mission of the CUSD 200 Speech/Language Pathology Department is to ensure that all students from three through 21 years of age achieve their highest potential as functional communicators within their academic and community settings. Using diagnostic tools and progress monitoring, highly qualified therapists support students' needs in the areas of articulation, receptive/expressive/pragmatic language skills, voice and fluency, thus facilitating effective communication skills for academic, emotional, and social success. Educational staff members and parents are supported by the Speech and Language Pathologists through collaboration and on-going education to maximize student growth in the area of communication.
